I think they will be testing the waters for a while. No point making something too expensive for a lot of people already even less accessible. Not only that, I don't think it's feasible to guarantee 120Mhz in a modern game at 1900x1200 or 2560x1600 even with the most powerful SLI setup.

The games don't need 120 FPS. It can work at 1 FPS with the same 3d effect however games will effectively have their frame rate halved. (1 frame for each eye)

What concerns me here is the flicker. CRT's flicker at 60 Hz because they are going black to colour 60 times per second. LCD's don't because they just remain the same colour until they have to change. With these glasses, you are going black to colour in each eye 60 times per secons so there will be a noticable flicker on everything. Think of the headaches!

    "The long-awaited" - really?

I don't want 3D vision nor do I need it. I'm perfectly happy computing and gaming in 2D.

But the games still need to be smooth. A jerky gameplay will add to the headache.
But I welcome the idea. While I may be happy with gaming as they are, I would like to try it before writing it off. It's been many years since the Virtual Boy.
