I bet at launch it will be £290 ish and go up to £320 after the reviews and benchmarks start showing its lead over Nvidia's top card and demand rises. Also with all the gossip that Nvidia won't be able to meet the new ATI's card with their own new line till first part of next year, I bet this will keep the price high.

Using my crystal ball I forsee £295 for the 5870 with NVIDIA cutting the price of the GTX295 shortly after the 5870's launch.

Well if the launch of the i5 is anything to go by, then I disagree. Speculated pricing for the i7 860 was pretty much spot on while the pricing for the i5 was actually slightly optimistic.

It will all depend on what e-tailer you look at. Some will have it priced below 300 and some will have it a little bit higher thats just the way it goes.

The basis of it all is that it is going to be around the £300 mark +/-10%

Lets just wait a few days and find out eh

The wait is killing us though. Hope the performance doesn't disappoint.

I've become far too obsessed. I keep checking for news each day. Very sad.
