Ooooohhhhhh....
although I can't upgrade mine for another year... by which time there will be a storm 3...
You think ?.
I thought their next big touch screen device was the one with the combined physical keyboard (9900 / Pluto, or whatever it's called now), so a third revision of the Storm would be a while off yet ?.
I'd rather have the 9700 when it comes out later in November(ish) in the UK, I've not a nice fat hardware credit from O2 burning a hole in my pocket.
I thought that Storm 1 was disaster big enough?
It was nothing but really bad phone, good ideas behind it but such a bad implementation...
Ive had the Storm since day one and I have always said i would keep it even if i had an upgrade i like it that much, now the Storm 2 is going to be released I may upgrade not interested in anything else dont think I could actually go back to a normal phone as it just wouldnt be a BB....

.... Where's the Any Key???
spoon, did you own one???
fatboy - only said about the storm 3 as it's only a year since the first one came out.... so i'm going on a law of averages from 2 devices!
Granted when it came out it was a bit ropey, but after the big update (march kinda time??) everything got a lot better and noticed a few better usability changes too. Mine was afflicted by a bit of a facebook memory leak - but that's cleared up recently with the new app coming out.
I think the problem with the storm was that it just wasn't what blackberry users where used to, or wanted really.
the touch interface was below what was offered by the iPhone, with even HTC on win mo providing a better experiance. The built in browser was the worst on any of the options by miles.
the battery life was not what old school BB users where used to, especially on talk time.
The problem is these things haven't been really been fixed, as such you will find most companies will probably avoid it, unless its given really good deal.

I did mate together with 20 other users working in my company - everyone was saying the same thing... Rubbish.
No wonder that as soon as they launch it, posters/commercials of 'Purpose build for Vodafone' were gone almost next day lol!
Currently using BB Bold, previously Curve 8310 so I'm not anti-BB in any way...
That's exactly what happened at every company I know which had storms, they didn't have them for long at all because all the users hated them.
tiggerai is the only user I know who kept hers, and likes it. Guess it suites her needs.

I was really dissapointed with my Storm when I first got it.
I have had several iterations HTC windows mobile devices before that for a long time, (before smartphones were iPhoned into the mainstream), but needed to switch to Vodafone due to signal issues and wanted to see what else was out there, so many review sites had been laying into WM.
I really wanted a physical keyboard, I wouldve got the N97 if it had been available at the time I think, but the Storm click screen seemed like the best compromise, and it actually had fairly good reviews.
After several software updates it really has turned into a great little handset in my opinion. Responsive, reliable, fast typing, good battery life, easy to use, finger friendly, awesome quality screen for watching video, and I also use it as a Mp3 player with a 16GB microSD card and it does that really well too with good sound quality.
I probably wouldve switched if I could have during the first few weeks, but now I'm really happy with it. The only thing I REALLY wish it had? Wi-Fi and BBC Iplayer.
I would settle for just Wi-fi, which this Storm2 has.. not that I can upgrade easily, locked into 24 months
