That is awesome. Every minute of that video showed yet another function that absolutely melted my mind.
But the thing i really want to know is, do you need to feed the magic fairies that live inside it and how many are there? As that's clearly how it works, there is no other explanation. Your not fooling me with this special paper business.
I don't know what i'd use it for but i definitely want one.
At the start it did look a little cumbersome and bulky, but then when i saw what it could do i'm not surprised.

Absolutely Awesome. Tempting to buy one for uni, just write the heading for each new subject, then let the lecturer speak.
Would require me to sit at the front for the mic to pick it up though.
I'll spend the rest of the day deciding whether to buy this or not.
Now that's what I call a notebook computer!

Wow!
Have to admit, when the video started I was thinking "right, a pen that records sound... my life has changed", but it was genuinely amazing.
How does it actually work? Is it recognising the structure of the dots around the pen marks or something and thus sussing out where it is on the page?
Wow that was fantastic. If only it had come out at the start of university, not the end. Very useful little gadget
I'm guessing by looking at the weave of the paper, thus requiring special paper.
The genius of Mr Gillet was realising that people will buy a razor at £5 only to there after spent £5 a month on a little piece of sharpened metal.
But also these things aren't that new are they? I Swear i've seen them in shops for well over a year?
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
According to the video if you've got a laser printer you can just print on the microdots that enable it to work, thus making your own homemade "special paper". It seems so odd though... presumably the dots must have a unique pattern at each point on the page that indicates to the pen where it is on the page, so it can then memorise the pen strokes at each location and recognise them. But you can write over the top of them and it still works, so that doesn't quite make sense.
Confused
That is quite something!
If the PR is true and the compatible notepads are going to be the same price as "normal" notepads, I'll be getting myself one.
Any ideas just how much audio can be stored on a 4gb one?
Wow thats mad. Love the translator functionality!!
Seems like a LeapPad for grownups. Anyone else got kids with LeapPads and see the similarity?
I love LeapPads, I always think they're really cool when ever my daughter gets her's out - clever stuff.
The SmartPen looks like a clever application of the same kind of idea, using a different form of the technology.
Wow, awesome idea and I am sure that the video only shows the tip of the iceberg in terms of what people will end up using them for!

I'm already sold after seeing this I could definitely use this as a designer when you have group team meetings and brainstorms to associate a word with peoples comments would be great!
