what's the diameter on those fans? and where does the hot exhaust air from these fans go? if it just blows out through the card's sides and then recirculate inside the case then it's a fail.

They always do that, only the stock ones push the air out of the back these days.

Exactly why I'd prefer the 5850/70 CF to these models.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

I had a ASUS 4870x2 Tri-fan much the same as this & it rock for cooling but did heat up the case.

Now I have the ASUS 5870 V2 that throws hot air from the rear which is great I untill you get a Corsair H50 CPU cooler that sucks the hot air back in to the case ! This I've just found out....

    I know the feeling.

I need to gut my PC, but unless it suddenly breaks there's absolutely no chance of that happening

With this much heat, it's actually better to have axial fans than a radial slot cooler, because there's such a vast amount of air being moved you'd need a screamer of a fan to get it all through such a tiny space. Anyone buying such an overpowered card would have a case with suitable ventilation, so a cooler like this really, is beneficial. It certainly will be for me.
