How do you get that?? from the bad colour scheme?? what the flying does the colour scheme of a case have to do with engineering??
A case that is modular so the internals can be rearranged yet still function as a usable case that's engineering.

A well engineered case is one where thought and time have gone into it's construction, Lian-Li are well engineered not because they have simple elegant outter designs.

Just because you don't like the look of a case doesn't mean it's badly engineered, just badly designed to your taste.

To my mind this looks like a case that's been designed by an engineer as it appears far more function than ascetic.

It does look a bit better in black only

Correct, it *looks* engineered, but it is, in fact, a giant pile of cheap plastic and steel mix of flimsy crap. Giving a case 50 fan mount points isn't modular, and it isn't well designed, it's just stupid.

I'll tell you what that case is, it's the new dyson hoover.

For instance, letting you have 3 fans down the front may well mean you could fit a 3x rad at that location. For some users, that might be a good thing. I would personally want the rad, if I had one, inside the case, but that's just personal opinion.

The black/blue design looks excellent, but I like blue. If you're trying to design a "cool" case, yo've either got blue or red. Having a bit more Yellow in the mix (Time Shift comes to mind) makes for a new twist on the whole case-mod concept.

    Orange

    Red

    Blue

No lots of fan mounting points doesn't make it modular
The mounting system for the hard drives and/or 5.25" drives, you have four vertical pillers that you can attach rails for the 5/25" drives or clips for the hard drive suspension cables to at any point on their height, the drives can be mounted in any orientation and order.
The front plates that make up the bezel are fully seperate and detachable so again you can use them in any combination or order.
The motherboard tray and rear psu plate are fully detachable so you can swap them over so you can have the psu above or below the motherboard tray.
The side panels are again made up of multiple sections which can be re-arranged to suit your personal preference.

Yes there does seem to be quite a bit of plastic in there but I very much doubt it's flimsy, it's using a steel box work frame that's taking all the weight which will need to be thick to do that and will resalt in a very sturdy frame.

What would be intresting would be if Antec additional types of panel section, so you could replace sections with solid aluminium sections or acrylic sections.
And given the way this is built to a modular design you could make them yourself or have them made and just bolt them on.

I really think this case will be both a joy and very easy to mod.

EDIT: I would so love it if Antec sold this case as seperate sections, you could do so much with a modular design like ths with verious interchangeable parts you buy seperately to suit.
