I have to use one occasionally at work, abit one that must be several years old. Horrible clunky ugly slow things but It does the job I guess!

I really like them. If I was buying a business laptop where money was no object, I reckon I'd probably wind up with a Lenovo.

I know some people with some seriously powerful thinkpads courtesy of their employers

I my Thinkpad. Seriously powerful, handles anything I throw at it, gets carted around with me everywhere day to day, both domestic + international. Ok they don't look particularly great, but they are built to last.

My old T43P is still going strong, currently being borrowed by a friend.

Re: News - Lenovo ships 60 million ThinkPads

I remember when I went on work experience - some guy alleged that his T41 was overheating, so I did some testing to ascertain whether he was telling the truth or not, and no matter what I did, it just refused to overheat.

I blocked all the airholes up with towels, ramped up CPU-Z, but whatever I did I just couldn't get it to fail

    Left me seriously impressed.
