Where do they get off insulting the Android OS. Google havent even released their Tablet specific OS, the current one IS an upscaled phone OS and they are fully aware of it.
IOS is very little more than this even now it has been optimized for the device so the guy is a bit of a hypocrite.
Wait what? they found a use for it? They need to tweet and check myface constantly? He concluded by observing that 80 percent of the largest companies are deploying or piloting the iPad.

No I think they are 'evaluting' them, ie they wanted one to show people at the golf club so they bought them.
You can't even read emails easily on them, they don't render them as well as even lotus notes, looking at attached documents is horrifically slow and of course you don't have any of the in company DRM.

Haha everyone moans like mad that Apple is this and that - from their perspective we all can go to hell - they make billions a year and its constantly increasing.
Just look at the figures... recession? Which recession?!?

They can 'gargle my balls' as im still using a 3 year old MBP and dont really plan on getting a new one. I initially had that honeymoon 'oh my god its a mac its soooo pretty' but it wasnt long before i saw it for what it is... which is a POS.
I do plan on changing it soon but will probably go for a cheaper netbook type solution and install linux on it.
And - based on smartphone experience - you'll spend half your life trying to keep the sodding screen clean enough to read from.
I'm guessing that he's either excluding technology companies from that list, or they're the 20% that are "hold outs". I can't see HP, IBM, Intel, MSI, Google, etc diving out to the local Apple Store with chequebook in hand, can you?Stand-in CEO Tim Cook took the chair alongside Oppenheimer, with Jobs convalescing. He concluded by observing that 80 percent of the largest companies are deploying or piloting the iPad.
And the iPad/iPad2 aren't just scaled up phones? I'd be fascinated to understand what's unique about the iPad. As the Hexus write-up pointed out, for some period of it's life it's been running a (slightly?) tweaked version of the iPhone's OS.The best quotes were reserved for the competition - specifically Android tablets. Cook observed that Android, in its current form, is a smartphone OS not designed for tablets, so: "...you wind up with a scaled up smart phone, which is a bizarre product in our view."
To me at least, the second line in the quote above neatly answers the statement/question posed in the first line!He also revealed the nature of Apple's corporate culture when he said he finds it hard to understand why someone would buy any other tablet.
Having said that, if any company is entitled to be arrogant right now, it's Apple.
I have a friend who has, rather circuitously, ended up with an iPhone 3GS. She is particularly sad because now all the real geeks look down on her for having an iPhone, and all the Apple geeks look down on her for having an old iPhone.
After I'd finished mocking her for owning an iPhone, I did feel a little sorry for her
