Hexus your quite a few days behind in the news on this story...
errr, I wouldn't really say few days behind, the roumer mill is still actively churning ideas out, the reg article about the move to silicon vally:

I don't really think that Windows Phone 7 will save Nokia. Elop has said before that selecting another OS erodes their brand identity and does offer much of a diferentiator. I would of thought they would of been best by following HTC's example by going the Android route and offering their own skin like HTC Sense.
If Nokia could port some of its design features on top of the Android OS, it wouldn't be of as a big jump for its current customers.
As good as the reviews are for WP7, the underlying factor is that it still hasn't managed to sell well.
Yes, that is puzzling isn't it, Nokia have rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbished dare I say so much money on research and produced nothing good new or innovitive. (I'm worried about the N900 fan boys coming, but luckily there are only 2, in the world.)
WP7 is a really good OS, but its lacking a lot of features, also say what you like about Symbian, but they always had a very good sms system, the way it handled delivery reports was excellent. I'd love to see someone bring that into the WP7 SMS interface.

Going WP7 won't help Nokia. They need to move quicker, be more agile with products and worst of all, actually make a new product that has real mass appeal. Nobody is really looking forward to a new Nokia launch these days, prefering Android and dare I say it Apple for innovation (pah!)
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
