    There's not a great deal you can do about jamming or flares. Adding radios wont help in the slightest. I don't see any suggestion to show how these events can be 'avoided'.

    Good old fashion map / chart and a compass?

    Sextant also works well.

    A person in the cab of equipment guided by nav systems to overide them is also pretty prudent. There have been several incidents of large ships relaying on GPS and running into land or each other due to not keeping a proper watch, even though it's a mandatory requirement under the International Rules for the Prevention of Collision at Sea

    Not exactly rocket science tbh.

    of course its more a worry to big brother state and its road charging plans, when are we having to fit those little trackers to our cars?
    or has it been shelved for now along with ID cards until they get a bit more spare cash to waste, er spend, on these draconian projects?
