    Mesh- "It's the only explanation"

    Yes, entertaining days.

Re: News - Mesh Computers goes into administration

This thread has somehow managed to flag up 3 companies that have failed, that coincide with our last 3 family PCs.

The current one is a MESH - but clicking that link highlighted that Evesham had gone under who supplied our previous PC. The third was a Time machine (ho ho) who also went under a few years ago.

Our MESH machine is a few years old now, but it worked well, didn't need the customer support line, and was well priced for its day. I guess nostalgia sad to see them go, though it seems they hadn't been so good recently.

I personally think Medion will be the next to go... Their PC's, laptops and other electrical equipment are just a load of cheap and shoddy crap. Their customer support is awful too!

So what you are saying is when you buy a computer from a company, it then goes under? ... OK where are you buying your next computer from?

Yes, though worryingly for me I built my current PC myself - so have I just jinxed myself?

They are being bought by Lenovo, so unlikely to go bust now

Too late - http://channel.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=30703 they're just about to disappear into Leonovo.

Personally I wouldn't expect much from a "budget" brand - either in terms of components nor support, being a firm believer in that cliché about you getting what you pay for.

Not impressed with the build quality nor support for the PC I've got at the moment ... oh, wait a minute ... I built it myself!

Avenger1324 - you're not alone in having the kiss-of-commercial-death on PC companies. I've done the same, which is one reason why my last three PC's I've built myself. So the curse seems to have moved onto suppliers - the last three local computer shops I used all went bust, and there's a couple of mail order ones that look a little shaky. PC World's still trading though...

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...
