I made the switch from Firefox to Chrome about 3 months ago.
As always, it take a little time to bed in but there's no looking back now...
Agreed, I resisted the move from firefox for a while but love chrome now. I've put it on family members laptops and it keeps itself updated. Plus it's integration with some google services is very handy if you own an android phone.
I've found Chrome to crash alot recently. The programme doesn't crash but web pages crash and have to be reloaded. I also still find I have to use IE sometimes when using some sites and buying goods as Chrome doesn't work correctly.
Chrome has been my default browser for a while now, Wife uses Firefox and IE for those times when others dont work.
ArsTech said that Chrome was still a few months off FF when I read last night? I'd imagine its eating into of IE's market is partly down to most IE users having 'Google' as their homepage and being directly advertised the Chrome browser.
I tried Chrome recently when I was having BF3 issues.....must say I hated it but as with most things.....it's all personal preference and that's why there will always be room for multiple browsers.

Haven't seen any issues on Chrome 16 Beta, last time I had issues was last year when flash kept stopping working.
Just proves one point.
People's perception of brand is more important to them than their own personal details and privacy.
Facebook generation INNIT
Hmmm... These results may well be skewed, as many people use ad blockers and Host files that block the StatCounter domains, I do for one and I use Firefox. This sort of analysis is very flawed in today's world.
There is no real way to know how many people use which browser to that sort of decimal place! I would be willing to bet that the results are + or - a good 5%!
You've said this before, and this time I'm interested enough to ask "why the hate?", or are you just one of those grumpy old geezers?
Like the tab handling in Chrome - the way you can go windows->tabs and back again is very useful. Not so keen that the vaunted sync feature didn't work for me - the RSS feeds I had in my Bookmarks Bar work fine in the Linux Chrome where they were setup, but in the Windows sync'd version they just became static - e.g. on the Windows one there's been no TuxRadar updates since August apparently.
I tend to use Chrome for the majority of times because, like "mark22", I've got an Android phone and Chrome seems to work better than Firefox or IE for those Google services. Still quite like Firefox, mainly because my copies have a couple of plug-ins for security, (ABP etc), so I feel it's a "safer" option. IE I don't use unless I have to - despite their optimizations it still feels slow and clunky in comparison to FF or Chrome, the latter taking over as the default browser on my Windows box.
One aside though - if all the browsers are moving to a "minimalist" look, does this perhaps mean the end of the sodding 3rd party toolbar? I do hope so - especially as a while ago I had to "debug" a family members slow running PC that turned out to have SIX of these installed. Argh!
Regardless of my grumpy old geezer status......it just isn't Firefox. I embraced FF when it released (everything else at the time was awful) and like most people, I don't like change....at least unless it offers me something beneficial.
I was finding it annoying to find things and all my cookies, history, bookmarks etc are all synced over FF and were not available to me....adding to the frustration....I could have used a 3rd party tool to sync it, I could have gotten used to the nuances but why bother going through all that unless there is a good reason?
Until FF lets me down, every other browser is going to feel alien and unwelcoming.

Both Chrome and Firefox are awesome browsers, I use both daily

Hopefully you'll find that this will change significantly as Chrome becomes more popular and is prioritised when website designers are looking at which browsers to optimise for and as the HTML 5 standard better settles in. A great feature about chrome is that each tab runs as a separate process which is why one will not crash another. It may be worth confirming if the crashing issues are related to any plugins such as flash as this is a common cause and one of the reason's Apple had its little grump about flash a while back as often it would not play nice with safari.
You can also consider trying the beta branch of Chrome to see if your bug has been fixed in the next version, if you want bleeding edge try dev, though sometimes things do get broke at this point as new features come in.
