No idea where Kalniel magiced Kingdoms of Amalur from but that looks like it could be very impressive.

I've been following it for a while - tried to drum up some Hexus attention but failed. Agreed - and there is a demo on Steam to try as well (final game is already more polished though).

So, any games that aren't sequels? Nope, didn't think so.

This, more so than Diablo III even. D3 is almost certain to be ruined by Blizzard's "you must have an internet connection to do so much as launch our games" shtick, and that really puts me off buying it. If Torchlight 2 is anywhere near as good as the original, it'll be the hack'n'slash RPG I'll be spending my hard earned on this year...

The new Tomb Raider is utter crap. Lara doesn't sound or even look like Lara! Is this the effect that SquareEnix's acquisiton of Eidos has done? First, the crappy Tomb Raide and the Guardian of Light and now this!

I fully agree about D2 being better for multiplayer, and if that's how they implement D3 then i'd be happy.... but it's not.

It seems like (worst case scenario) a brief 'ripple' in your internet connection and it's game over.
Even if you want single player, same deal.

Hmm that's a bit of a bummer. Do you know hat happens if you get dumped off a server? i.e. is everything reset to how it was the last time you left a town or is it a continual save process?

Ninja Gaiden 3 and Max Payne 3, will get round to ME3 once I eventually complete ME2 so I can carry my character across.

Clearly they need to get the multiplayer version* sorted ASAP so we can get a Hexus server / party / guild / whatever going

*EDIT: google is my friends, T2 will have co-op multiplayer!

More than a bit. I believe they did the same with SCII. Put me right off Blizzard...

Don't know what happens with the save process. I'd hope that it made at least some attempt to autosave on a regular basis, but I wouldn't want to bet my house on it...

I've already promised the better half that I won't buy any more games on steam until I have at least installed and played every game on my account. So I've got a fair few to get through before I can accumulate any more...

I'm desperately trying to make and keep to that promise. It's absolutely killing me. And the most ridiculous thing is that some of them are absolutely fantastic games.

E.g. 6 hours on Torchlight, 18 hours on Dragon Age: Origins, both saves have been deleted and I need to start again. Haven't started STALKER yet, or Tropico 3, or Bioshock 1 (or Bioshock 2), haven't finished Far Cry 2, Crysis Warhead or Mafia 2 DLC.

I have however, bought and completed Portal 2 since the last sale. Naturally. Currently trying to prevent myself from buying FM12.

I'm still plugging away on FM11 (about 20 years in now!), but every so often I go on the SI forums and see all these shiny printscreens of FM12, and get sad at all the bugs that have developed over time in my current game. If I can drag it out until FM13, I'll consider it a success
