News - BBC Sport online gets major redesign

Surprised that people go to BBC's website for sports news when yoou have Sky sports , Cricinfo, ESpn , etc.

Ironically, one of the reasons I didn't visit Sky Sports is because of how cluttered it is, I've always appreciated the simplicity of BBC, now unfortunately, that has gone!

It brings it inline with the homepage design. However it is too yellow and seems more cluttered than the news pages. Not a huge fan but then get most of my sports news elsewhere anyway...

I havent used the homepage in ages, because I go direct to news / sport/ iplayer as needed, thanks to browser toolbars.

*THAT* yellow is just wrong!

BBC News portal is what they should be aimer for, instead of Newsround.

I always used to use it on the basis that they had no need to peddle absolute nonsense just to draw traffic. I got so tired of switching on the TV and Sky Sports news running the most pathetic story about how some player was about to sign for this club on the basis that an unnamed source had suggested to Guillem 'Bullmanure' Balague that it "was on".

If you can't be bothered with speculation, it's a good site to use.

I actually don't mind the yellow! What does annoy me is that they've fallen for the 'more white space is always better' philosophy. White space is only a good thing up to a point. The live football pages are dreadful now... hardly any information above the fold.
