    Ignoring the growth in tablets/laptops feeding directly from the desktop market, telling the remaining potential desktop customers that the new NVIDIA cards, the new Ivy Bridge chipset and Win8 are all just-around-the-corner and (supposedly) worth hanging on for probably isn't helping loosen the purse strings.

    idk but the results are abit skewed as in the article it reports that apple saw a increase in sales. They need to clarify exactly which products saw a increase cos as you know apple have laptops well as iphones. In most cases i'm guessing they saw growth in their iphone branch when the new iphone 4s came out
