You talked me into it (not that I needed a heck of a lot of persuasion) - £7 discount off of the PC version of Revelations it is.
(other alternative would have been to have gone CoD:MW3 on the PC - yawn)

off-topic: also be interesting to see if the PC version has the same bugs as the XBox one - e.g. I've currently got 4 recruits with 10,000+XP but still stuck at level 10. I've also seen some NPC's stuck in walls or roofs (hilarious) and the odd bit of graphics silliness.

That will be all of the Gamestations then, and probably all but the best performing duplicated Game stores.

What was the point in buying Gamestation again? Seems like it was a stupid decision to make. Oh, and so much for the second hand game market being such a giant cash cow for retailers.

Looking at the ones reachable from where I live and it would appear that they've targetted either ones that possibly wouldn't have had much trade or ones that are in premium locations (e.g. two stores on Sauchiehall St in Glasgow). See http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/store...station/093365

Don't think GAME's going to get much trade from me (apart from perhaps drop-in's at the one @ Glasgow-Fort, which was quite a good store) since my nearest one is now about an hour's round trip.

For me though, the best news was that my local Gamestation has escaped this round of the administrators axe.

It is a cash cow, however, its dependant on the amount paid for the game and how much its being resold for.

I think part of Games problem has been both values were sometimes too high.

I've often seen "pre-owned" games being sold at £5 less than the cost of a new copy, which was still more than say Amazon.

The 277 stores are closed (or at least the one marked for closure near me is door's-shut-lights-out) but the rest of the stores should still be trading. The notice on the two websites appears to be quite optimistic - painting this more as a temporary situation.

    We'll see...

(plus I was planning to put in a pre-order for Assassin's Creed 3 to my local Gamestation - but obviously I'll hold off until things settle down a bit)
