    Hicks12, the XBOX360 uses a ATi X1900GT like chip. The PS3 uses a nVIDIA 7800GT like chip. The X1900 > 7800GT!

And the codename is actually for the APU, not the console.
I believe Darius was referring to the possibility of Liverpool FC being top of the league any time soon, so he is in fact, completely right...

For some reason I didn't read it that way, but in that case I couldn't care less - another company, sorry, team which happens to carry the name of a city I live in, playing a game which has never interested me. Just you do quite often hear people having a pop at Liverpool because of its media attention, despite probably never visiting the place and knowing very little about it, and it gets tiring after a while...

But we are in a playstation discussion , i was saying the PS3 uses a 7800GT (in terms of performance as you say, like a 7800gt). I know the 360 uses an ati/amd gpu, it is stronger but not by much [when you comparing the systems as a whole]
(or have i had a mad moment and actually posted saying the 360 uses a 7800gt, in which case my bad been a plonker meant the ps3 and thanks for pointing it out if i have!.)

The XBox 360 uses a more advanced GPU. It has unified shaders AFAIK, and eDRAM too. The PS3 GPU is weaker and less flexible, but IIRC,the Cell processors can be used to help out.

I added the bit to my post , the cell processor when properly used can help massively in which the difference between the two consoles diminishes quite fast .
