They should start making processors with competitive performance. That'd give some incentive to buy.

So...their last gen APUs still massively outperforming Intel's latest in terms of graphics performance isn't competitive? Last time I checked, more people played games/media than running benchmarls for the heck of it or transcoding videos in software 24/7. Intel>AMD trolling, or any pointless one-liner trolling for that matter, is boring...
Depends on which A series you go with, but it being 32nm and your Athlon X2 most likely being a 65nm(Unless it's Athlon II X2, then it's 45), the cheapest A4 APU should provide about the same performance while using considerable less power, if you went for an A6 or A8 Llano, you'd get a lot more performance especially in graphics compared to the 4200IGP, even more importantly is that you can buy a 6670, or below, and run Hybrid Crossfire which will boost your performance significantly.
Oh just that, gee and all this time they thought the way to success was worse products, less green, and less power efficient, if only they had known!
Btw. the FX series don't really get that hot unless you OC them, same with power, BD is a surprisingly power efficient architecture, but as usual people forget the real numbers and just remember the numbers that stands out, in this case the OC numbers, is it ideal that it gets like that when OC'ed? Of course not, but for people who just want a gaming CPU without overclocking it, Intel AMD, neither will make a damn difference.
