Standard layout, arrow keys stand on their own.

I can't use a keyboard where the arrows keys are surrounded as I find it too bunched up.

Yes my thumb and little finger are generally below the keyboard but I have just got used to twisting my hand in a particular way to hit the mentioned keys without lifting my hand or losing and controlability

coincidentally im using a logitech media keyboard here now like so

    Layout is pretty identical.

You need to stop using the arrow keys, today, now. Seriously, that is a horrible way of doing it.

Looks great! would love one of these, but £250 is ridiculous for a keyboard. I could build a small computer for that.

    I don't think so.

I have always done it that way and I have yet to find a game that I could not map comfortably so why would I change it now.

I could just as easily say that using wasd is a horrible way of doing it which in my opinion it is.

go on, right now. With your right hand.

    index on J
    middle on I
    ring on L
    pinky on /
    thumb on space

ahhhh, does that not feel good?

    no it does not.

in my position my wrist is straight and at the edge of my desk which is comfortable.

doing it that way my wrist is twisted my fingers are bunched in and the edge of the desk is 2/3 of the way to my elbow, highly uncomfortable and not to mention painful when my twisted wrist starts to cramp up

Re: i46: Introducing the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 7

that means you don't have your keyboard in a suitable position for typing either then? since that's basically the home keys.

Look i'm not going to argue with you about this all day.

My keyboard is positioned so that "the home keys" are directly in front of my like they should be. this puts the arrow keys in direct line of my right shoulder making the arrow keys the most comfortable place to put my hand for long sessions.

I do it my way, you do it yours lets leave it at that because you constanly basically telling me my way is wrong is starting to border on the offensive.

Interesting keyboard but I'll stick with my Merc Stealth Keyboard. I have not found anything yet that beats the gamepad on the left side of the Merc Stealth. Also, I am right handed but I agree that it would be nice to see more options for left handed people.

I would want to have applications running on the screen such as CPU and GPU temp monitoring software.

Re: i46: Introducing the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 7

Can someone PLEASE explain to me what on earth is so great about mechanical keys? Every mechanical keyboard I have used feels really nasty, clunky and of course has a horrible "clack clack" noise when you type on it.

I play quite a few games online and have never found my keyboard to be a hindering factor... I use a pretty cheap Microsoft 1000 Wireless desk-set and have been very happy with it.

This keyboard looks very nice, possibly a bit too big for some people's desks but I'd love to give it a go.

    I don't think i'm "pro" enough - I love these things:

...both for work and play I have one. But i've never tried a 'modern' mechanical keyboard (the last one I used was when they were the only option) to compare it.. I don't know - I press the keys and stuff happens - I too don't understand what i'm missing?
