By that you mean £200 cheaper.

Nokia should make decent phones around the £100 mark to stay alive. That is the only market sector which has not been touched by anyone. You only get Huwaei phones at that range.

They have been, sadly there is no money my heart bleeds for them.

However I'm hoping this will happen to all markets, with the new agressively priced Andriod phone, we should see more competition.

The fact of the matter is the 800mhz in my old Omnia7, with its 256 meg o is still smooth as silk. Smoother than my Nexus 7 with its dual core twice the clock speed and four times the RAM.

That means they really can compete down there. The Nokia 610 for £70 is a great device at that dosh.

In a phones4u store this lunchtime and of the colours available on the info sheet, apparently the white one is 4G only, with a choice of red, yellow and black giving you 3G and 4G potential.

Apparently they are due a delivery tomorrow morning, so I'm tempted to impulse buy and head to Vodafone to get a nano-SIM, though something inside is telling me to wait for reviews.... just in case...

Had written off the HTCs but at 400 quid that's significantly cheap enough to take a look.

Not sure if typo but just to clarify this isn't Windows 8 it's Windows Phone 8, MS have really boned themselves here by confusing the hell out of people. WP7.5 was incredibly stable so disappointed to hear WP8 has bugs, got any links to the reviews?

The thing about WP is if you go in knowing the limitations (which apps you just won't have) its actually pretty darn good. For a geek like me, its not enough to be my Only device. I still want SkyDemon so I'll keep my iPad even if its just for that.

I have no reason to still have an andriod device thou, controversial maybe, but I've no software I need or can get only on Andriod, granted its cool I can get Transport Tycoon from the OTTD project on there, but its completely unplayable without a stylus / mouse.

The verge do definately have some Apple fanboys covering a lot of tech, will be interesting to see how it survives. (Also read their iPad mini review, you know the device with worse hardware than those half its price, how they praise the apple hardware.... *sigh*)

Oh for goodness sake!
We've been waiting it seems like millenia for Nokia Win8 phones, we eat up the hype and marketing and are rewarded with a castrated release of the one phone (920) all the speeches have been about.

I don't need 4G.
I will not change network.
I just want a Lumia 920.

Why does it have to be so difficult for the marketers to understand?!
