Yeah I've already got Origin in the Winders partition for all my free Cokezone glitch games. Worse game clients are available TBH.

I too had much the same opinion as you on the release of Origin, however, if you are referring your suspicions on the Origin EULA (the wording of which cleverly allowed access to your system's drives and a whole load of usage data personal to you)I am afraid you are a bit behind the times. EA were taken to court in many countries and have subsequently changed the EULA globally. It has now been tweaked and states no more than any other EULA. In terms of it's 'malware status', it is no worse than Steam, and some pretty good games are exclusive to Origin so you really are missing out. Besides, the only reason Origin suggested it required access to your drives was to check for pirated EA games, which you cannot deny EA should have a right to do. Been using Origin for almost a year now and nothing malware related has happened.

I was about to say that it's good to see something given back to the fans, but know nothing of Origin... why such negative press? Is it similar to Steam??
