I'd ebayed my Nexus S the Sunday before in anticipation and all. Like kingpotnoodle, I'm just disappointed they didn't do a pre-order and even now haven't set up an online waiting list. The lady I spoke to said the next shipment would likely be a fair few days, even weeks but they just had no info. People like me will be waiting and all of a sudden they'll just be a, "Surpriissseeee!! We just sold out again!!" Also annoying as no guarantee any future stock will be sold at the same low price although the woman I spoke to sounded fairly confident it should. It's just a less civilised process causing unnecessary aggro compared to what they should have done.

My old Acer Liquid Metal will have to do for the time being...

You can buy my old iPaq it's the same thing really. This crazy is predominantly for late adopters who are a bit slow but when they do finally get it you've got hand it to them... they are very enthusiastic.

Seriously people. Use your old phone for a couple of weeks more - it won't kill you. The buying frenzy hysteria about some of these new devices is mind-boggling.

Haha I don't mind using my Sensation a bit longer, a CM10 ROM has made it less slow... I just find it exceptionally annoying I can't just pre-order and wait my turn, having to wait for an email alert to maybe get an order in or maybe miss the short window again is slightly farcical.

Got my Nexus 4 a couple of days ago - great. Giffgaff sim trimmed to micro size with a cutter designed for the job but it is not recognised - bad.
Nothing works!! I have tried entering the APN manually but it won't show any APNs or save any (need to recognise network first?). I manually try to get it to recognise the O2 (or any) network and it doesn't. Have tried turning off, waiting, on, waiting enough times. Polishing sim so no dirt/grease etc. Some giffgaff forums suggest sticking an O2 sim in there first but I don't exactly have any spare O2 (micro) sims at hand....
So painful when the technology just doesn't work....
