I saw this earlier in the week, was quite surprised it was a Samsung...
Mind you, it's more likely you'd be able to charge the Samsung in the future...
As an ardent Royalist and Apple-hater (Apple user because of work, and they suck), I have to say that this made me warm and fuzzy inside

Hahahaha - anti-Apple news galore this week
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
Does this mean that Samsung get to apply for a royal warrant? (assuming they haven't got one already of course). I've also got to wonder if the "undisclosed reasons" for Apple not getting the gig could be due to use in adverts etc - or maybe Apple wanted the copyright on the Queen's image?
Got to say that I'm kind of tempted by the Note 10.1 - especially since Tesco Direct are advertising it at a "mere" £318 for the 16GB model (which is plenty for me since the Note's got a uSD slot). I'm thinking that it could be a very good (and high tech) replacement for the scruffy A4 pad that I have to drag into meetings, take notes at my desk etc. Yes, I know I could use an iPad, but the SPen (and Wacom digitizer) strike me as a good match for my need to do the odd diagram/sketch. Now if that'd been a WindowsRT box then I'd be plumping my money down now no questions asked (I've already got a decent Android tablet).
Speaking of the Tesco deal, I can't see any sign to the contrary - but does anyone know whether the cashback deal that Samsung are doing at the moment applies to the Tesco price? If so, then I'm very, very, very tempted - since that'd be "only" £278 (or put it another way - a tenner more than an iPad mini for a device that'd suit me far better).
Potential for a caption contest.
It says on their website for the offer that...Speaking of the Tesco deal, I can't see any sign to the contrary - but does anyone know whether the cashback deal that Samsung are doing at the moment applies to the Tesco price? Just click on the "Qualifying Products" tab on the side...simples!
I got my SSD on this offer with SCAN's TO it cost £122 for a 256gb 830...bargain!
One thing though the conditions for the cashback are exact and torturous...I will have been waiting nearly 3 months for my £20.

Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

I wonder if the reason behind Apple not get in had anything to do with the whole 'Samsung didn't copy us' court case. Apples behavior was pretty poor and insulting towards the UK legal system, perhaps Queeny was 'recommended' that a Samsung would be better PR?
Just a thought.
I have got to admit when I read about this earlier in the week , it tickled me so much so that I pee'd myself a little, not only do I consider apple on the same par as Nazi's (lol went out as Steve jobs with a Hitler tash this Halloween) really can't stand them, it is the tablet I chose to go with and totally love it, normally I give into my impulses and jump on the bandwagon right away but I held off this long until there was a tablet I was happy with, plus the fact I was reading the news article on the tablet at the time, seriously apple, grrrrr, the can go and fook lol, though on the subject of the storage space, yeah you have the sd slot but it also comes with the free storage on dropbox like the s3, though be warned you cannot add it onto the storage you get with the s3 you need to setup a new account, here's a though I wonder who the queen has her broadband with and what WiFi router she is using lol
That is some nice advertising for Samsung there. Just bought a Nexus 7 though. Is their tablet actually any good? Might just take a look for interests sake.

Is the treasury running out of money that the queen has to do product ads now ?
Sorry if it caused offense, that was not the intent. To add some clarity to why I feel so strongly as I do is well I have ADHD, I have always had a problem with being told what to do, I see apple as controlling, everything has to be their way or the highway, I could go on and on but do not want to make this exchange anymore unpleasant, maybe in my original post I should have used the term technological Nazis as opposed to just Nazi, I fully agree the level of evil that is associated with the Nazi regime and despise them fully and whole heartily, I just see apple as evil greedy corporation trying to impose themselves on the world as the pinnacle of awesomeness.
Again I apologise for the offense.
lol running out of money, the entire country is completely bankrupt
