*Le Sigh*. Why so serious?

Perhaps because I hold posters here in higher regard.. than I probably should. and when reality do not match one's expectations, one end up with disappointment. This is Hexus.net, not Applesucks.com, so I want to believe that *most* posters can maintain objective despite varying opinions. And when it comes to many topics in the general discussion forums, it is clear that the majority can. Yeah debates can get heated, some topics are prone to condescending remarks and mods do need to step in at times. But it is rare for a cheap dig to go unchallenged, when putting down a group of people, you'd better be ready to justify it.

But as soon as it is news where Apple is involved. Well, perhaps we are dealing with a different group of posters anyway, but they are as bad as what I've seen from Apple fanboys. And perhaps due to the sites I frequent, I am getting the impression that there are more unreasonable Apple bashers than there are unreasonable Apple fanboys.

I'm with you on this. The anti Apple snobbery from some quarters of Hexus is absurd. So you bought a Nexus rather than an iPad? And you've given yet another multi-billion dollar tax dodging company your hard earned cash? Bravo.
