4k 30" screens or GTFO , We have been stuck at these resolutions for a long time now, a nice little bump wouldn't hurt.
I have just read a review of the Digimate IPS-2701WPH which is 27" and runs a 2560 x 1440 display with good results at a very reasonable cost of £360. That's my next buy and its available in the UK
isnt Dell in financial difficulties? wow still producing expense products
Just bought a U2713H, very pleased.
Been waiting for a 24" replacement though I will hang on for a few firmware revisions before I buy. I prefer the older chicken feet stands as opposed to these they looked a lot more stylish.
Not sure whether to give Iiyama or Asus a try but we'll see. Overall there are not enough monitors to choose from at 1920x1200.
hmm, im still using my 22" 1680x1050 and have used a 1080p 24" screen in the past.
but these seem a bit niche as far as price is concerned, most people cant shell out a grand for a monitor only, unless its a work thing.
Yes and no.
I have been, incredibly, staggeringly underwhelmed by the quality of all the 15 retina screen MBPs I've used when it comes to colours and dynamic range. Same goes with the screen in the new Surface Pro (which is getting a lot of good praise otherwise).
A lot of their sins they hide behind a glossy screen. So for image work, my 3008WFP are still going strong, and not making me feel like I'm missing out on pixels.
As for gaming, well, my favourite right now, NS2 I can't even begin to get anywhere near that res.
So no, I don't want more pixels thanks, just better quality, cheaper price, and less heat (seriously my 3008s heat the room nicely with the desktop!)
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
What is an NS2 ?
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
