I'm going to mention one thing I've already posted elsewhere in relation to this.

In Q4 2012, almost 70% of computers sold did not have discrete graphics. That means 70% of new PCs have graphics no better than an A10-5800K (and given Intel's market share, the vast majority will have graphics much worse than that).

Most people who want to play games will buy a console, because it'll be more powerful than most PCs. 'Nuff sed.

I don't see the logic in why these people are complaining. The dev made an accurate statement,which some people jumped on. Then you get others jumping on the hardware specs of the PS4,despite insight from devs and programmers like Timothy Lotts,who say otherwise.

As mentioned before, people want to put down anything they don't own. It's a self-reassurance issue really. Of course, you'd expect respectful discussion on a site like Hexus, but some of the posts seem a little more towards hoping for reassurance than tech discussion. But that's also the open internet for you The older Hexites can do their bit by setting a good example and newcomers (who are very welcome indeed) will soon see the benefits I'm sure.

Typo on my part,it would be GDDR5,as not even the DDR4 specification has been finalised!!Oops!!

FYI: DDR4 was finalised last year in September. I wish manufacturers would hurry up to implement it but it would appear the first rendition of Haswell will miss out on DDR4 and Haswell-E/EP will only get it 2014.

I just happy its based on X86 that should mean that ports should be common should run ever better on pc than before.
