I can't find it now, but the last 6 times Tim Cook has made a speech Apple shares have dropped. He's not regarded in any way shape or form as a great leader compared to Steve Jobs. in a nutshell, Apple is increasingly looking like a shadow of the company without it's old leader
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!

Hmm, probably true - then again if a company is so dependent on it's CEO for success then there's surely something fundamentally wrong with it.

Of course, adding to Mr Cook's woes presumably was Samsung Electronics profits boosted by smartphone sales

Much as I hate their legal nonsense, I'm actually hoping that TC's comments about "focusing more on innovative new products" is true. Especially in smartphones, I think a market that had Apple only as a shadow of it's former self is a less interesting market - although the caveat about them perhaps having too much dominance in the past also applies. And that "dominance" comment definitely applies to Samsung - time's long overdue for someone else to grab some of their market share lead.

every company wants the most proffit possible but..there are so many things you have to count on...people who dont like apple , who allready have an apple , people who can afford it..so the market will shrink untill there is a new product but untill than it depends on peoples pockets etc..nowdays everybody has a smartphone and also that market is shrinking in sales because they dont want to get a newer one cause they allready have one , so they are depending on people who can afford , like the new gadgets etc etc.
