Re: News - Humble Origin Bundle launched with ALL proceeds to charity

Great that most of these games are on Steam. I played BF3 for a while but haven't reinstalled it as it didn't really capture my interest, and I HATE origin with such a huge vengeance. Awful, torrid piece of flakey rubbish. And yes, I remember the early days of steam...

I guess I'll have to reinstall origin to play dead space 3, but I'll save that for when I've got through all the other games (no need for BF3 as I already have it, and... 'The Sims 3'? Really?).

Deadspace 3 has been on my list, so that alone would make this good value.

    All buyers will also receive

    The Sims 3 Soundtrack
Yay, it's what I've always wanted!

Shame that it doesn't include sim city, else I would have already got it...

I've just got myself a copy, may end up getting a 2nd depending if the games can be activated on both and then played at the same time.

    Stonking deal!
I bought the Deep Silver bundle in the first week for less than the average price and I still got the extra games when they were added.
I think it's definitely worth picking up asap even for $1.

Can't see them adding any more games to this already great deal.

I'm not sure whether to get it. If they add more games I may beat the average, otherwise I'll go just under.. Unless BF3 is actually really good (not bothered by the sims )

BF3 is great if you want to play it online. The campaign is a bit meh... but end of the day you are getting all of those games for less than the price of a pint.

Re: News - Humble Origin Bundle launched with ALL proceeds to charity

Yeah I have no problem paying, but I just feel like it would be a waste if I'm not going to play the games. But I've just remembered it's all to charity this time, right? So I guess it doesn't matter.
Would bf3 still be good online but without my friends?

Hmmmmm. Yeah it's a good deal, but it's a real shame the Humble Bundle guys seem recently to have decided to forget about the Indie developers.

One last question : is dead space worth it if I have bioshock already? I've realised that being fairly similar hasn't stopped me from getting gta, saints row and sleeping dogs ^_^

But yeah, there's been a few non-indie bundles recently

Re: News - Humble Origin Bundle launched with ALL proceeds to charity

I have a backlog of games that I really need to play, some have been there over a year now, but I couldn't let this offer pass. My backlog of games has doubled but it cost me comparatively little for these additions.

I love the guys running the Humble Bundle, they provide amazing offers. I think this last year I bought more games through Humble Bundles than on Steam sales, mostly because there was no DRM but this is an exception I am happy to make.

I tried dead space (was on steam for a couple quid once) I thought it was incredibly slow, more scifi/horror than action

Well worth it for a few quid, a proper poop your pants game (though with moments of running back and forth). Wasn't too fussed about DS2, hoping DS3 is back to the original in style.

Aye carumba I know what people are talking about when they moan about origin now. I'm downloading battlefield 3 at 7.64kb/s and it's going to take 82:08:40. I think that must mean 82 days. I mean I know it's gonna be busy with bundles like this but I might just crack out me old us robotics courier and see if I can crack 10kb/s with it. *sigh*
