Me too - excellent news, shame they can't tap F1 onto that too as I refuse to pay for it (RTL FTW!!)

XL TV customer and I moved in March to the top-of-the-line collection, so I get the F1 channel too. Now if I could find a channel that covered sumo (as in a decent length programme, not a couple of seconds of "look at those crazee japanese") then I'd be a happy bunny.
Meanwhile BT has refused to wholesale the BT Sports channel content to BSkyB from whom it aims to win back broadband customers with its own free bundling offer, announced in May.

They will get forced to offer it. Sky will just complain to ofcom.

I just wish people stopped buying these full packages, then Sky, Virgin etc might start paying reasonable amounts for programs, rather then just trying to outbid each other for exclusivity.

How people can justify £60-140 per month for TV (in some cases they watch < 10 hours), on top of the TV license, is beyond me. I cancelled Sky when my monthly bill hit £88 2 years ago and haven't looked back. They keep trying to get me back but I refuse until they offer better packages (especially sports) and price points (i.e. a football package)......but while people pay through the nose for TV they don't ever watch, prices will remain stupidly high and we will continue to see things live F1 and international football going to paytv channels

I'm one of the million households with access to BT sports and it even appears on the youview box they provided. Only I've never even switched over to it! Would rather save a few quid and not get it. Wish companies would stop added more 'value added services' and just do the job you pay them for well.

Re: News - Virgin Media gets BT Sport channels

Good, was peed off when it all went to btsport! Almost left Virgin media and was slightly regretting renewing (after a major haggle... 3 hours of speaking to numerous managers after they promised this price and turned out they couldnt) however it seems my fears are null and void .

I dont like how its so fragmented but WHAT CAN YOU DO? If i stop watching the sport I love then they will lose money and ultimately I lose out... I refuse to pay extra (directly) for sky sports and that as I only like watching Motogp/F1/UFC, F1 unfortunately sky has half but I can survive on highlights and now VM has btsport im happy with the price.

    My new contract is :
    L 60mb BB
XL tv + 1TB tivo box and 1x V+ HD (recording box)
    XL phone with caller id
    For £44 p/m for £18

Considering the BB would cost like £15 - £20 on BT and they dont have infinity in my area (currently 1.5mb/s estimate!) it is a "fair" price and adding on BT sport and the phone it just makes it the cheapest of the lot but offering far more.

    Happy bunny here haha
