Haven't got a clue what 3G or 4G actually is I use my phone for making phone calls.

Actually, quick everybody get 4G, the less on my 3G network the higher speeds I will get.
I'm not excited by 4G in the slightest. With the relatively small capacities of phones, the only thing it seems good for will be streaming - and I haven't had an issue yet with the speeds I'm currently getting on Three. Would be interesting to see what sort of tethering speeds it gives, and also interesting to see what effect it has on battery life.
not deliberately
i think at the moment it's a bit like 3D tv's The next big thing, but in reality its nothing that people actually need to get, whether this will change, i can't see it myself as I use my phone as a phone and to check social media sites etc, i'm not interested in watching tv on it as i have a tv for that :-)
No - not until price parity with 3g. Would rather have decent data usage limits on 3g to be honest.
Not until it's available in Plymouth and costs a realistic amount, with a large allowance.
Cannot see the point in paying for a faster connection when all it means is my allowance runs out faster! In fact right now I'd prefer unlimited 3G so that I could stream all my music in the car with SubSonic without worrying about charges.

They should of got 3G right first then rolled out 4G which would, no doubt, of received a warmer reception than is currently available.
The point is this, 3G coverage is awful and 4G is even worse, in places I can get 3g/4g stable there's usually a free wifi hotspot available already so what's the point?
my phone supports it, but my provider doesn't
Not needed. For me anyway.
