Lol!!!!!
Ignoring the flaw part of the article (I'll come back to that)
Of course pre-orders for the 5C are lower...
It's a 2 product launch instead of the usual 1. The 5C is the 'low end' model, the 5S isn't available for pre-order so lots of people will be waiting for that. Likely won't fully account for the 1/10th amount but this is a refresh not a 'new' model like the 5 was. What are retailers expecting? It's obvious the Apple launches aren't as a big a thing as they used to be.
As for the flaw, jesus Apple, you'd think they'd have realised that multitasking opens up these sort of flaws and thought it through this time?...
I'm wondering if the bubble has burst now.
To be honest I'm laughing right now at how badly Apple has done this launch and how poor an option the 5C is for a 'cheaper' buying option. Its not cheap enough for folks that want a cheap phone and its not good enough for people to buy when they have the 5S at £80 more.
Its a royal phallus up.
BTW I own a 4S, wont own another iPhone after the piss poor apple process that was my upgrade to iOS7.

An article came out that shows Apple sharing your lovely fingerprints with the NSA along with all your intimate phone call chats and texts. Next they will install a retina scanner and the biometric database will be well on it's way.
Oh wait it has a retina scanner already. Forgot about the camera. 1984 is here thanks Apple your commercial predicted that one very well.
Interesting, which article is that ?
With Apple saying that no application, even the iOS core cannot read or write the fingerprint scanner storage data, let alone share it with anyone. But even if it could, the data stored is not a fingerprint, but a hash code cryptographically encoded with the unique key of the individual hardware scanning device so only a fingerprint image within the scanning process of the individual scanner that recorded it.
Calls and texts have been monitored for years everywhere, there were newspaper reports of the UK security forces responding to keyword usage in SMS messages 10 years ago.

Here's a more detailed instruction video:
I've tried it on my 4S but I can't get it do the above so it's either been patched or fake

Nevermind, just tried it with the video provided by Mtyson and yeah you can get access to and edit people's pictures without any passcode, from there you can access and edit the phone's contacts and send on the pictures to any number or contact.
Never leaving my phone alone now

A quick straw poll amongst my mates and the answers nearly all came back with either
a)Not interested in an iPhone OR
b) Why the feck would I have a 5C when a 5S is *only* £80 more?
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
I managed to get the multitasking up on my locked iphone 5 but you cant actually enter any of the apps you can just see them running in the background. Also the app preview doesnt show anything. Obviously it is a bug that needs to be fixed but im not convinced its the glaring security risks as being made out in the article above
I think the point is that it's only taken a day, and Apple have had months to try and catch a simple thing like this...

I hope I don't need to download another 1gb just for this fix. A small-sized update should do.
