Nooooo
Well, since it got scrapped, I guess it saves me the disappointment to the series.
Surely you jest? C&C style tactics has always been pretty much limited to the order you build things, the unit type mix (tanks/infantry/ranged) and the balance of building combat units (enough to defend) vs extra resource gathering capability. Staying alive and limiting the enemy until you've got enough units to just roll over the enemy base...
Total War series, now thats more cerebral RTS with proper formations, guarding flanks, protecting missile troops, nullifying artillery, facing the right units off against the enemy etc
Too bad I've been waiting to be invited to try the game out.
I hope they do release the code so that the MOD community can improve on it that little bit more.
Granted it won't be a C&C game...
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
That sounds like too much thinking for me - my preferred questions are "how many times should I shoot this?" and "what should I use to shoot this?" LOL
Joking aside I did say that I'd not paid much attention to C&C - from what you've said it looks like the impressions I picked up were false ones. Thanks for the correction!![]()
If and when they are going to continue with C&C I really hope that they make the game 50/50 on multiplayer and singel. And the game should not be free-to-play. I'm looking forward to se this typ of game on a frostbit engine!!![]()
I don't know about screwed it up. Clearly Generals wasn't a C&C game, with so many of the dynamics changed, but it was still brilliant in its own right.
C&C 3 was alright, I agree, but it didn't really capture me to be honest. Red Alert 3 was painful and I've purposefully avoided C&C 4.
