It's still running 4.1.2, got a notification of a software update the other day, thought finally it would get 4.3, but oh no it was a bugfix version of 4.1.2 that added no new features and had been out in other regions for months already
The exact same feelings as you not a big fan of the newer Samsung stuff either very expensive for not great spec the new note only just came down to £449 from £500 which is a rip off.

Could be worse - you could be stuck with HTC Sense!

Actually saw a video review of the new LG and to say that LG's software team got a bo***cking would be an understatement, to use the US vernacular the reviewer "tore 'em a new one". Actually said that the hardware was excellent but the UI was so unusable that he'd mark it down as an "avoid".

Not saying that TouchWiz (no urination jokes please) is ideal - because it isn't. Personally, I find it less annoying than a lot of the others - vanilla Android though would be good as a start.

Put it into perspective. New iPad is £50 cheaper and that doesn't have the digitizer/pen combo. That said, even at £449 I'd say the new Note 10.1 is overpriced - £350 is more like it. Come to the conclusion that companies figure we live in "rip off Britain".

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

I actually find Sense to be amazing, as long as the device has enough RAM to run it.
