Re: News - AMD introduces Kaveri APUs

Kaveri is an important entrant to AMD's lineup. It is the best and most powerful APU that AMD has ever put out there. Hope alot of this.

Re: News - AMD introduces Kaveri APUs

Another bold move by AMD in putting the onus on software developers to make the most of their APU's
Lets hope it goes down better than there last cpu's requiring windows 8 not to mention the impending flop that is mantle

OK, just ran a 1024M wprime with both 3 and 4 threads to stress the CPU while watching the first few minutes of Elder Sign on Tabletop on youtube. No dropped frames at all. Whatever your problem was, it wasn't the CPU section of the Trinity APU.

I await the pico PC's with these.

Only the sapphire vs8 and vs4 had AMD Apus of any worth everything else was Intel celeron or really low freq Jaguar. So hopefully the Lenovo q180 q190 will get an upgrade or the Acer revo boxes will with a kaveri pay soon.

Re: News - AMD introduces Kaveri APUs

Any news on what GPUs will crossfire with these now that AMDs APUs are GCN?

Re: News - AMD introduces Kaveri APUs

Given the A10 has a 512 shader GPU the best bet is probably a 7750 tbh, bu I suspect that most AMD cards will work - there's reviews out there using Trinity/Richland with a 7750 in dual graphics despite the different arch (VLIW4 + GCN). From what I've read, however, there's still no frame-pacing fix for dual graphics configs, so any combination is likely to be subject to stutter...

Hmm... Do you also have dedicated graphics card on that laptop?
Maybe CAT is right, the cpu run out of bandwidth...

That's lame, looking to get rid of my big ass ivy bridge ATX rig and downsize to MITX but retain the ability to properly game at 1680×1050 and was hoping this might be the route to take
