Did any "Google Play Editions" ever make it to the UK?

I dont know but once there is a play edition out there then the wizards at xda forums usually find a way to get it installed on the standard one

Ahh, I thought the hardware was slightly different as well. I expect there'll be a lot of buzz around this handset so it'll be rooted and CM'd pretty quickly, which'll be more or less making it a Play edition.

Samsung's view that premium materials aren't as important as the overall user experience does seem to be backed up by their sales figures...I'm v surprised the older One compared so poorly to the others in the articles' stated numbers, despite all the awards and good reviews - unless 'shipped' and 'sold' aren't the same thing?
