Dan over at Dan's Data has been a busy man. Well, by busy, I mean he's been busy having fun with the gadgets he gets to review.
He's had a look at the Barix Exstreamer. This little gadget will grab music from a network computer and play it through one of its various audio outputs.
Next in line on Dan's gadget fuelled binge, is a lineup of USB products, from lights, to peculiar looking dongles. The back of the Exstreamer has a DC input jack, an RJ45 socket and a couple of RCA jacks, as you'd expect. You also, however, get a 1/8th inch headphone socket, and one of those serial ports that network device designers still have to grudgingly put on their hardware to deal with those situations when their beautiful elegant browser-interface setup system can't be used by some darned inconvenient customer or other.
Finally, Dan has been answering reader's letters again, in the 132nd Edition of Dan's Data Letters.
