Re: Features - QOTW: Which CPU cooler do you use?

H100i...the supplied fans aren't quiet on start up but are fine even under load. Corsair link is OK but is not going to win any awards. Cooling is fantastic using a pull out setup on the radiator installed up top and the rear exhaust fan reversed to bring cool incoming air over the coolant pipes. I get a 12 to 15 degree reduction depending on ambient over my previous air coolers (Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 and Alpenfohn Brocken)

It was easy to fit and frees up airflow space around the motherboard so all in all it has been an very good cooling solution which I look forward to stretching a bit with a some more serious overclocking.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

The one I've been recommending the most is the Thermalright True Spirit 120m. Absolutely brilliant performance on all fronts considering the price.

That said, I'm running a stock cooler. (Hey, I'm still running an E5200). Next year I'll be building a broadwell system, so I'll consider an aftermarket cooler then. I'm a big fan (no pun intended) of Noctua's products, but they are pricey. I may look for something cheaper, like the Thermalright True Spirit 120m if it is compatible.

Using the free MSI 120mm watercooled thing that I got in a bundle from Scan with the MSI Z87 MPower board - every other heat sink I've ever bought has been Arctic Cooling...

I currently use a Corsair H100i on my overclocked (4.8GHz) 3930K - rarely goes north of 55 degrees under full load. Idle has been as low as 13 degrees (+5 ambient)

I've been using the Corsair range of liquid for the last few years. My current build uses a Corsair Hydro H80, which works fantastically well. Nice and quiet and rarely get temperatures above 50c while playing BF4 with an overclocked i7.

xigmatek gaia - love it. Only just fits in the case but looks good and was extremely reasonably priced. Perfect for a budget gaming PC with a mildly ambitious overclock.

Corsair H60 on a pull through setup on a 3570k Clocked at 4.5Ghz. Usually hums along at 62c

Re: Features - QOTW: Which CPU cooler do you use?

Custom w/c loop here. Main systems under an Apogee Drive II with a pair of 240mm Alphacool UT-60's (m-itx system, couldn't fit a 360mm radiator, lol) pumping through a Heatkiller block as well. Controlled with an Aquaero 5 LT, & all the fixing's for good measure.

The *cough, cough* HTPC's cpu resides under an XSPC Raystorm with an RX240 & RX360. Getting it's flow from a serial connected pair of Liang DDC 3.25's in Koolance PMP-400 heatsink cases. One with a XSPC res top, and the other with a standard XSPC pump top.

Ugly old Delta's and SanAce's rule the roost on both.
