    There isn't that much difference between Firefox and Chrome to me, the only reason I usually choose Firefox is Chrome's weird proprietary context menus. It's a shame, because I'd love Chrome's voice features, but the lag and general spaziness of the non-windows menus do my head in.

    I still use FF as my main browser, but use Classic Theme Restorer to get rid of the Chrome-y nonsense. I have seen it become progressively crashier over time, however, especially on pages that use Flash. I don't want to use Chrome, IE has its own annoyances; may have to give Opera another try.

    I remember writing a similar program about 20 years ago. I think I missed a comma, or colon or something. And got about 15 compile errors.

    Yup, God Bless C++.

    Have used Firefox for a long time and will stick with it as it broke thelong monopoly of explorer when it was so bad. I have had problems with it on occasion especially with flash. last month it was freezing my computer. I am using Waterfox atm with no problems. Google it as I am not allowed to post an url.

    For me the issue is flash performance, which is worlds apart between the two browsers.
    Chrome is simply superior in that respect.

    Yeah the flash performance has been horrible on FF recently.

    Chrome however is such a resource hog with multiple tabs (compared to FF) that I just can't use it on my puny work machine where I need to have lots of concurrent tabs on the go for long periods (days/weeks).

    At home on Windows I use both Chrome and FF almost interchangeably, although I still have a lot of goodwill for FF based on it saving me from the horror that was IE.

    Well its hardly surprising when chrome is far superior , you only need to open task manager to see how much smoother chrome runs.

    My task manager doesn't have a "smoothness" column - I find chrome uses a lot more RAM than Firefox, it's just split over multiple processes. At least if one crashes, it doesn't take everything with it. I find that now Firefox has that "smooth scrolling" effect like Opera had, it feels more sluggish to use (even though it isn't).

    Anyway, I still use Chrome.
