Yes you can as that was always the case. However, Tmobile/EE has inserted a clause recently that you cannot terminate the contract if the price rise is no higher than RPI. Apparently this was agreed with Ofcom.

Well that is what they're arguing for but I can't see how they can prove it. If someone jumps ahead of me then effectively I'm one place behind, logically speaking.

For anyone not outraged by this, think of it like this:

Imagine you're queuing in a retail store. You've been waiting for 15 minutes already, are tired and just want to get out. A rich person then pushes in front of you by bribing their way to the front of the queue. Another rich person then does this, then another.

In the end, you end up waiting far longer to get your goods, just because those with money were allowed to push in front of you, rather than everyone being treated equally.

If you're still not outraged, then compare this to net neutrality and get very angry indeed.

Sounds good if you've got the money

I think most people are outraged by this but there will always be a small minority who will act as apologist. Much in the same way some people thought Hitler did nothing wrong.

Moving on, I spoke to Ofcom today and they said they are concern about the actions of the 50p queue jump charge. Whether Ofcom has the teeth to tackle this issue is another thing but in the mean time I'm going write a letter of complaint, with a view to terminate my countract without penalty, to the my mobile provider under the EE family.

EE customer service is just shocking, they come across rude most times.

i find that getting them on twitter speeds things up.
