    I dont think its worth basing the decision off the results of a synthetic benchmark. I think if you did a full analysis of all the current popular games, the price/performance ratio would be almost the same as it was on release. In fairness, the decision would still be that the 290X offers better overall value, depending on which game you are looking at primarily, but the 780Ti is still faster overall.

    I think my games would be BF4, Elite: Dangerous, Assassin's Creed series (I still have a few to play!) and Hitman: Absolution at the moment.

    The point I'm making though, is that I am not ruling the 290X out now, which of course is something I did 7 months ago after running the tests, I did actually run the 290X in my FX8350 rig for quite some time before upgrading that to another EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC ACX card but I have yet to try to 2 cards in SLI, been a bit worried about trying 2 of them when I only have a 750 watt PSU.
