Oh, Corsair. I love you. (Also, I'm on my mobile at work so I can't watch the video)
But that is a lot of money for a keyboard...
Steam - ReapedYou - Feel free to add me!!
Lot of money for just for a flashy keyboard!
PCB has gotten a complete overhaul to accommodate the per key rgb lighting.
Add 2 extra lines/key, plus a controller able to address each led separately.
The stuff inside is way more expensive than the usual controllers.
So, in the end, it seems not that expensive in comparison to the non rgb versions.
If one looks at the whole picture, it surely is expensive, but if people only look at the price, we'd all be writing on rubber dome keyboards.
Seems cool, wonder if the software allows for individual key colouring or have templates built in. Even better for an option to change colour with Windows background cycles and themes. Like what Razer has offered. Given that the K95 launched at around £140 and now goes for £118, I am guessing by or after Chrismass these boards would be retailing for £120-£130.
Hmmmm
£150 for my Christmas present I think!
Hopefully it will have fallen in price a bit by then, I wonder if they will change colours in patterns to music...
lol Christmas tunes should be interesting to watch
Look nice,
While the additional electronics are not trivial, they are not complex or expensive - large RGB panels for signs etc. come to less than 20p a pixel for LED and driver to make.
Will be interesting to see how good a controller they have, limited number of pixels at only 102 or so, but video playback could be interesting !

Looks awesome, but it's a shame that it costs that much because I was really wanting to buy one, but that is just too much. Great-looking keyboard though!
i would love one but the price is way to rich for my blood with little to gain over my current mech keyboard.
Wow awesome
A G19 does not have the awesomeness of mechanical keys
Thing is, you have to ask yourself, do you really need the dynamic selection of colour, or would you rather pick a single colour and save between £40-70 depending on your preferred brand and requirements?
I suspect the people who say they would rather have the dynamic colour option are a significant minority. If the difference was like up to £30 MAX the story would be different.
can't see the point, each to their own though
