    Maybe the maxwell architecture enhanced the performance of the PC cards so much that nVidia decided to name it as 900 series.

    Sweet price $450 for a GTX970? Are you a NVidia shill? You can buy an i5 4690k, 2x8GB DDR3 and a Z97 pro4 for $450.

    The GTX970 is a mid-range $250 card with a high end $450 price. It's a $450 card that can't run games in 4K without buying two of them.

    They're probably going to launch the real high end card 5 months after this one, for $1000000.
