Sorry, post came up twice
I was planning on... I was waiting till the next generation ( GPUs based off the 20nm process node) but I just bought a gtx 980 for £300 from amazon! May use it or may sell it and use the profits to soften the blow of an upgrade .
Will be getting 2 gtx970 in sli for my new rig.
Nope not me I have a high strung 3930k and three high clocking vanilla Titans all under custom liquid cooling. I cant see anything pushing the limits of my rig for the foreseeable future.
Yeah i will
GTX970 looks great, especially the MSI one, but I can't justify changing from an R9 290.
Besides these chips look like they've been hamstrung by Nvidia, to stop them being too much better than the 700 series. I think these chips have a lot more potential that nvidia will slowly tweak up over the next two years with a 15-20% performance boost each time.
Look on Gumtree for decent secondhand cards from the early adopters of these cards.
Get a GTX700 series or an AMD R9 card for very reasonable prices, and no bidding war.
I will be upgrading from Zotac GTX 550Ti to the Zotac GTX 970. Now if only the stock was there to buy it.
I'll hopefully upgrade to a GTX 970 strix, If I manage to gather enough money.¨
Will improve my Game performance with probably 600% or more. Still got a Radeon 5670.
The GTX 970 seems to have some type of fault with it's memory. I would hold off buying until more is known.
