Its different ... nothing wrong with choice.
Who'd have thought that the Galaxy note would have been such a success.

    Yes it's 'unusual' and 'different'.....

Well done, welcome to the annals of obscurity.

Surprised you didn't bring out a picture of an ngage - Really loved that phone. Plenty of games/apps and did the phone business pretty well as long as you didn't hold it the way they suggested! (It worked fine flat against the face)

Not sure I know anyone that always takes their passport with them..... Tend to hear more about people losing them...

For me the keyboard and the screen size make this totally unappealing, then again, this appears not to be aimed at me.

A slider would be a worse idea, they add to the chance of a device having a mechanical failure and thus increasing return rates while also committing what almost seems to be a cardinal sin nowadays of making a device thicker.

I have big hands. I don't want a razor-thin phone and it seems some of teh newer ones are being RMAed because they bend and break!!
Also, I find plenty of sliders, swingers, folders, rotators and other mechanically retractable phones on the 'Bay that are in perfect working order. You just have to make them sturdy or chide people for not looking after their stuff, really...

Re: News - BlackBerry unveils the Passport smartphone

i used to be a die hard Blackberry fan but now i feel sorry for them. They devices are so far behind in spec and apps is a real shame. They keyboard on the old 8800 was by far the best and the click screen on the Storm 2 was a great idea. i think the passport looks lame. Its aimed a buisness users but its such a niche market, they will not be that popular.

shame as i really did like them.
