As for saving face, that would imply that I have nothing further to add to the discussion to clarify what I'm saying. It's clearly evident from my post that's not the case. Your posts on the other hand...

Like I say, read posts properly and you won't end up confusing yourself and mixing up separate, unrelated points.

This is also typical of people like you. "I've been gaming since the 1700s so I have all the experience ever." (that's sarcasm / exaggeration by the way - I'm not talking literally). I've been gaming since the early 90s so my experiences are probably very similar to your own. I played Ultima 7 and I remember one or two other glitchy games (Dark Sun 2 comes to mind). But they were the exception to the rule. It was nothing like as widespread as it is today. I also played Baldur's Gate and your earlier comment about that game makes me wonder if you've even played it. I don't recall any serious trouble with bugs at all. There were some pathfinding issues (significantly improved in BG2) which I recall being especially bad in the Cloakwood Mines and Firewine Bridge. But overall, it felt pretty polished to me.

It's a Ubisoft game. What did you expect? Perfection and a good pc port? hah

It wasn't a lie. I had fun on my childish game and posted again afterwards. Thanks for a valuable and constructive contribution there though (that was sarcasm - your post was childish and didn't really add anything). If you don't want to read this, then stop reading this (it's unbelievable that I just had to say that). Unsubscribe from this thread if you don't want notifications about it.

Give it 6 months to be patched into an acceptable state, with the added bonus of buying it cheaper. Same old situation with most games these days eh.. I wish people would stop preordering so much.. I also find it very sad that 30 fps with an Fov of about 70 is still the target for console games. It's A crap target that far too often doesn't even get met. A crappy, terribly optimised pc version comes as absolutely no surprise to me either! Ah, these days haha...

Well, it's pretty shocking really. I loved Black Flag but this negative press is making me glad that I didn't pre-order Unity. Though had it not been for the fact that it isn't on Steam I probably would have.

Question though - says the reviewer is playing using a GTX 760 but the minimum system requirements are a GTX 680 and the 760 is quite some way below that. I don't condone the game being a buggy mess, but if you're going to scoff at framerates or anything, least you need to do is meet the minimum req's.

Your 'valuable & constructive contribution' to these forums is exactly nil. Why you continue to troll here I have no idea. Well I do. It's because you're an obnoxious moron. Perhaps 8chan is more your thing?

Playing THIEF on PC ( the new one ) and I went to the controls section to check control layout and there are no keyboard/mouse mappable controls or anything to say what each button does. Instead, there is a frikking XBOX controller with the various buttons and their associated actions!!!

Re: News - Assassin's Creed: Unity widely found to be slow and buggy

This combination of Steam, hidden DLC which is dumped in updates, buggy and downright unplayable games is the reason but this has been true since Battlecruiser 3000 AD. Every generation of PC kids however throws more money into the wish pot before learning that the industry does mug you.

I dumped the PC platform for a PS3. Too many points of weakness and an increasingly expensive hobby to put right.

This thread has now become the pretext for personal attacks against fellow members. I believe it's run its course.
