We will have to see how well these do against the recently announced Windows 8.1 HP Stream Laptops, I believe they started at $200? Think I would possibly prefer a Full OS, although I imagine the Chromebooks may run faster due to the light OS.

Tempting for a lightweight word processor/browser... After all for personal use I've found google docs+spreadsheet perfectly adequate. Be interesting to see how the MS stuff competes - Got to love competition!
Couldn't agree more.
My girlfriend has a Toshiba Chromebook (and will be purchasing a Chromebook 2 when they are available in the UK so I can have her old one ) and she uses it for her university studies. 13.3 inch screen so it's a nice size too look at (I find 11 inches just to small to work on and she agrees (ooooo-er)) and it's a full sized keyboard. Google docs is more than enough for her and every single square inch around her uni gets super fast wifi so all her class notes are saved auto-magically. But if prices wan't to keep coming down...
