Actually, I did buy a shaver on Amazon that was 25% off. I already have one of the same model, but when it breaks it'll be handy to have a replacement.
Was hardly bargain of the century though.
Bought a crucial mx100 512 gig ssd for £120 instead of £150+
Battlefield Bad Company 2 + Vietnam Expansion Pack
Grid 2 Classic Grid Car Pack
Halo Spartan Assault
Brothers - A Tale Of Two Sons
Shadow Warrior
All of which were on Steam and my steam wish list ! I agree with others though in that this black friday thing is mostly just rubbish especially if your not in the U.S.
a 512Gb ssd from amazon.
A Lenovo B50-30 laptop for my mother for Xmas. It was specifically a Black Friday deal though, as it had been on offer for a day or so and will continue to be on offer until the end of the day on 30th. Great price and specs for a low-end laptop. The cashback offer was what sealed it in the end for me.
Overall though, I've been very unimpressed by the offers. Argos and Currys/PCWorld were complete non-events for computers and computer parts. Amazon has had some decent-ish deals, but nothing more than I've seen often on their usual special deals.
A good deal that I'm going to make use of is £20.00 off all laptops at PC Specialist. I've been planning a custom laptop for months and today is the day for me to order it with that offer on to sweeten the deal.
A 512GB Crucial MX100 SSD @ £119 on Amazon and an EVGA GTX970 SC @ £252 from Scan.
Was tempted to get a bean-to-cup coffee machine from john lewis that was half price - but at £ 500 reduced I couldn't really justify it, considering unknown longevity it could make Costa the cheaper option.
A dvd earlier in the week. Nothing else. Seemed all hype to me. Nothing but rubbish TVs and last years tablets.
Nothing.
I'm broke.

Well my haul, A crucial 512gb SSD for £120, a pair of bathroom scales as for some reason i don't have any, Ice Age 1-4 Blu Ray for a tenner and a Gainward 980 for £359.99, their was going to be a Xbox one or PS4 in their somewhere but a new GPU seemed nicer instead..
CPW are selling the Nokia 530 on PAYG upgrade for £15,and the LG G2 and Nokia 1020 appear to be £140 to £160 from various places ATM.
Didn't even buy a carton of milk today, and, as I said on a similar thread earlier:
The original 'Black Friday is an American retailing event held on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and is so called as it's the day that pushes hard pressed retailers into the black for November.
It's presence over here is marketing and nothing more - in fact, in the UK retailers typically discount only a sixth of their stock and rely on shopper emotions to push them to buy far more than they ordinarily would, beyond their discounted purchases. That works for shoppers in stores but I'm not so sure about on-line.
Clearly, a lot of IT retailers feel they must participate, but I've not seen anything of astounding value - and anyway, right now I don't need what I have not got!
Bag of baby leaf and rocket salad almost a full 24 hours before the best before date was up at local Tesco. Only 43p. Result!
The rest of Black Friday has been pretty bad IMO. Don't see what the hysteria is about.
