It's all about balancing things in my experience. If you go in all guns blazing, AA and AF then it will fall over, but AFAIK you don't really need AA @ 4K, and if you dial that down along with the bits that don't matter so much to me (like shadows) then it tends to work OK.
The one thing I have learned is that downscaling to 1080p looks pretty bad, but I assume that's mainly because 28" is too large for 1080p to look any good (irrespective of whether it's 4K or 1080p native).
I am today using 37" as primary desktop screen, its only too big if you want to grasp all the information from the screen at once - if you are using it as a pannel it is ok.
i would want to have this one insted of having 4 stacked HD screens...
It just popped on my wish list.
The most recent games I've been running are Rome 2 Total War and Bioshock Infinite. Haven't had all the settings on high, for sure, had to dial them down, but it works and looks fine - generally tried to keep the textures high as that's what I notice.
Haven't checked framerates but haven't had any problems with slowdowns in use.
That's TV size not monitor size.
I don't think it will enhance productivity because you will constantly have to move your head to see the whole screen.
I used to use a 32 inch TV as a monitor, and it was just too big (although brilliant for games).
27 is a good size for a monitor, but for gaming I prefer the bigger screen.

It's the first 4k monitor that makes sense IMO. I even want a 46" version with FreeSync and even better input lag (even if this one is quite good at 20ms).
Just say no to bad scaling and have extra desktop real estate you can use.
this monitor is now available over at overclockers, I'm going to wait for some reviews though before I pull the trigger.
