Bezel heaven and a decent looking machine overall, though way to expensive.
Any idea on the actual width and depth?

Lenovo or Dell is like Patrick Moore or Jimmy Saville.

I know which I'd rather have.

Has that UK pricing been confirmed or is that just a guess based on the current uk pricing as that $800 price is significantly cheaper than the previous american pricing.

Firstly isn't your MBP "user experience" also down to software, rather than how well the unit's glued together?

Secondly, isn't "plastic deformation" where a material is stretched beyond the point at which it'll return to it's original shape and the deformation is permanent. What the engineers around me used to call "yield"?

Problem isn't with plastic as a material, it's in inappropriate use of cheaper/thinner materials. I've used some Acer and old HP laptops that have been shockingly fragile. On the other hand my old Dell lappy gets stuff dropped on it and keeps on going...

Whoa, nothing from HP on that wish list?
Asus Zenbook would be on the list but I'm a matte fan so a no no.
Samsung Series 9 would be except its an Ativ Series 9 and to my knowledge Samsung PC is only for US and well it's a Samsung so that's a reason not to.
Hp....HP messed me about with first Envy 14, ruined Envy brand and well...it's HP. Even if they had a nice product they'd mess it up somehow.
Hope the Vaio company starts pushing out of Japan BUT without SOny's model numbers and god awful software.
