The whole sale was great for unemployed people, since many of us who actually have to work didn't have the time to be actually looking on the website during the daytime.
It was a 24 hour sale and started at midnight, not many people would be up at 4am so I don't think it really mattered if people were unemployed or not. It's no different to the Black Friday sales they have.
And you could go through the listings before they were live to see what was coming up. Thankfully the item I wanted was on at 4.50pm so set a reminder in the calendar, ironically it was still available 2 hours later so guess there was a massive demand for it. Was the only thing I wanted really, nothing else appealed.

Anything electronic which had even a half decent discount,or I might have wanted were right in work and commuting hours. The same goes for the Black Friday sales, which were as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Plus not all of us have free access to computers at work to browse the internet for non-work purposes or are even in a situation to be taking random breaks off to try and buy stuff on a phone, especially when you are in the middle of something.
They never have these sales during the weekends, when people might be having a bit more free time.
Hence great for unemployed people, and why all these "sales" are a pile of ****.

Not a Prime member, so didn't bother looking - nothing I particularly needed or wanted anyway.

I was on a one month trial which actually the timing was quite good as I did want something earlier this week but decided to see whether it was going to be in the sale which it was.

I had a look in the morning, there were a couple of things that interested me, but as I was working, I didn't manage to get anything. I was browsing through later that night with a feeling of 'I have to buy something, it's the sale', but managed not to end up with a 'knocking shop barbie' or 30ft parasol.
Can't say I saw those items lol. I bought photoshop and premiere elements.
I was very underwhelmed by the whole thing - I didn't see anything particularly enticing.
It was just Amazon trying to recreate the black friday frenzy.
Yes and they didn't do a very good job to be honest, while some things did sell out you could normally get it from the waitlist and even then a lot of items took a while to get to being sold out, nothing went instantly really.
And the timing could have been better, in the middle of a month was probably not the best time to ask people to spend money.
Though I appreciate the timing was due to there 20th anniversary.
